IOM Woodland Trust x IOM Green Party Plastic Removal

  • Ballamaddrell, North of Ballabeg (map)

We’re excited to team up for an event with the Isle of Man Woodland Trust on the 14th of May 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm to remove the plastic guards that have been placed around previously planted trees.

The site will be Ballamaddrell, above Ballabeg and near Grenaby Studios.

Directions: Coming from Douglas, take the airport road (A5) until Ballasalla. In Ballasalla at the first roundabout take the right hand exit. After 170 metres at the second roundabout take the left hand exit onto Bridge Road. Follow the major road for 3,5 km. When you come to a threeway-crossing, take the right and after 200 metres, in Ballabeg, go right onto the B42. After 150 metres, the B42 will split into two, take the right again. Ballamaddrell/Grenaby studios will appear after 450 metres - there should be a Woodland Trust sign along the road.

From Douglas it takes about 30 minutes to get to Ballamaddrell.

Parking: The Grenaby studios are part of Ballamaddrell. A good number of parking spaces can be found there. We always encourage ride sharing to not only to ease the parking demand but also to lower emissions.
