LEO Cussons, GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE IN Malew (2019)

At the Party meeting in Ramsey on 14 August 2019, the Party accepted Leo Cussons, current Party Election Strategist, as a candidate for the Malew Bye-Election. The election was held on Thursday 12 September 2019 and Leo was not successful on this occasion, but said of his campaign experience:

“We had a lot of positive responses from the residents in Malew. We knew it would be a challenging idea, standing in a constituency in which you don’t live. The Isle of Man Green Party deal with issues that affect all local communities and a Green Party commissioner can bring joined up thinking. We made good progress, but it was never going to be easy.”
